The Ascend: Career Accelerator (ACA) Program is specifically designed for low to moderate income and/or first generation (LIFG) college students who have demonstrated strong academic performance and a desire to achieve their ambitious professional goals through business or technology careers. ACA’s personalized and unique programming and coaching will prepare Scholars to successfully build their professional tool kit by exploring and identifying their business or technology interests as well as building their network through connections with peers and industry experts. Successful completion of ACA programming (curriculum, coaching and events) may lead to preferred admission to MLT Career Prep.
Eligibility for Ascend: Career Accelerator
- Recent High School graduates enrolled in college/university and/or
- Current college students graduating in Fall 2027 or Fall 2028, Spring 2028 or Spring 2029, Summer 2028 or Summer 2029
- U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident (includes DACA participants)
- Intent to earn a Bachelor’s degree at a four-year accredited college/university
- Minimum 3.5 cumulative High School GPA or 3.0 cumulative college GPA
- Career interest in Business or Technology (but we accept all majors)
- Demonstrated commitment to MLT’s mission
- Lived experience with inequitable access to career accelerating resources
- Ability to complete monthly assignments and attend all virtual seminars required for the completion of the program
- Interest in future enrollment in MLT Career Prep
